The October 2nd meeting in OKC. at Baptist Medical Center Convention Center was very well attended ( 139). We had some fantastic speakers, standing room only even. Carlo did an outstanding job with speakers and deservers a really big Thank You!!! Everyone else who helped register, prepare speaker packets, arranged the meals, and otherwise make things go smoothly, thank you. The national board is monitoring the Obama health care plan, as many other groups, they are still trying to decide how this is going to affect the lab. Oklahoma society members need to evaluate what the future holds for them. The present board consists of members who will be retiring in the next ten to fifteen years, those of you who will be working for a much longer time need to decide who is willing to take those members place. Who is going to be the watchdog of your generation. We have tried to stay on top of things that will affect us and see that our voices were heard.
